Intermediate Level 2-Day Course (Weekend)
This is an intermediate level course held over 2 days (weekend) at The Original Bristol Blue Glass studio with the company co-founder and expert glassmaker, James Adlington.
You will be taught the art of decoration including:
- Trail taking
- Use of colour bar
- Use of frits and powders
- Vessel form including parison shaping
- Blowing and handling molten glass to achieve the desired form
James has over 30 years' hot floor experience and uses colour in many different ways to produce exquisite glassware items. He was originally taught by Peter St Clair and is happy to share many of the brilliant techniques has learnt from the master.
You will be required to have some glassmaking experience and are expected to bring as many of your own tools as you can, although James will also show you how to make some simple tools to aid in the working of colour. This is an intensive course so bring a notebook as an aide memoir.
Chances like this are extremely rare so don't miss out.
The all-inclusive cost is £750. To book a place for yourself on this course please call us on 0117 972 0818.
PS: If you have no experience in glassmaking but would like to learn then we suggest you enrol in one of our beginners' glassmaking courses.
